I'm posting about the places I've been to while living in Gangwon-do.
1. Sokcho Beach
It is the main beach of Sokcho.
The long beach with a view of [Sokcho IPARK] is a big feature.
It is good for taking pictures, not swimming.
Be sure to see the sunrise.
2. Sokcho Seoraksan Cafe ‘ㄱ’
If you type Sokcho Cafe on Naver, it comes up right away.
There are several famous cafes in Sokcho Ulsanbawi.
[Delphino Cafe] You have to go early. If that's too much trouble, I recommend this place.
It's right under Ulsanbawi, so it's pretty.
If it's past noon, you might not be able to see it because of the backlight.
3. Yangyang Naksansa Temple
You can get there in just 20 minutes from Sokcho
The photo is a bit vague, but the Buddha statue stands tall in the middle of the hill
The East Sea is clearly visible around it, so it's spectacular.
The [temple] is also well-maintained, so it's great for taking a walk while looking at the sea.
4. Seoraksan Mountain
[Towangseong Falls] It's not been open long enough for hikers to see it.
You have to go the day after it rains or during a week when it rains to see the falls.
And it's far, so you have to bring a telephoto lens.
5. Gangneung Anbandegi
A famous Milky Way spot and Gangneung's representative photo spot.
[kimchi cabbage] field, so it's more abundant in winter.
6. Seongyojang House of Gangneung
This is a national heritage. It consists of Hanok and seasonal flowers are always in bloom.
If you want to see flowers in Gangneung, go here.
7. Donghae Mureungbyeolyucheonji
(The photo is not mine)
It is a converted coal mine, but it is famous for its lavender festival.
There are things like luges, and it is fun to play and there are many photo spots.
You should definitely go during the lavender festival. .
