The first episode of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama ["Moon River"] (written by Cho Seung-hee, directed by Lee Dong-hyun, planned by Kwon Sung-chang, and produced by Hi-Zium Studio), which will finally premiere today (the 7th), features the intense and breathtaking first meeting between Crown Prince Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh) and his wife, Park Dal-yi (played by Kim Se-jeong).
In the drama, Lee Kang is the crown prince, acting as regent in place of his father, who is unable to manage state affairs. While he occupies the highest position, he is expected to rule the nation. However, after losing his beloved concubine, he focuses more on his own beauty and grooming than on state affairs, living as the royal court's most stylish and scheming (?).
Then one day, Lee Kang's life is turned upside down when he meets Park Dal-yi, a woman with a striking resemblance to the exposed queen. However, Park Dal-i, a wandering merchant, finds himself in a world completely different from the one he's lived in.
As curiosity mounts over how these two seemingly different people will become entangled, the released photos capture Lee Kang and Park Dal-i encountering each other, piquing curiosity. Park Dal-i conversing with a merchant in a market, while Lee Kang, started and at a loss for words upon witnessing the scene, captures the viewer's attention.
Lee Kang's longing and desperate gaze, gazing at Park Dal-i, evokes an unspoken longing and even sadness, while Park Dal-i is unable to conceal her bewilderment at the unexpected gaze of a stranger. From the very beginning, Lee Kang and Park Dal-i exude an extraordinary aura, drawing keen attention to what will unfold between them.
