Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and Deoksugung Palace are of course famous,
but as cultural properties, they are considered solemn, with entrance fees and controlled areas.
After visiting the palaces, it's worth visiting the Hanok Villages of Seochon, Bukchon, and Samcheong-dong near Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The hanoks are charming, with charming cafes, teahouses, and delicious restaurants.
The streets are beautiful. The surrounding scenery, including Inwangsan Mountain and Bukaksan Mountain, adds a touch of sensibility.
A visit on a cold wind is especially inspiring...
Seochon is Gyeongbokgung Station, Bukchon Samcheong-dong is Anguk Station...
Personally, the area around Samcheong-dong, which runs along the east side of Gyeongbokgung Palace, is the best.
[Yulgok-ro], which runs from the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Jeongdong Library, and Insa-dong to Samcheong-dong, is incredibly beautiful.
