These days I don't get to go hiking much because I spend time with my family, but I love mountain photography.
Among them, I especially like Seoraksan, and within it, I like the [Dinosaur Ridge].
The year 2021, when I went to see it, was during COVID.
So the mountain huts were closed, and I had to do it as a day trip.
To watch the sunrise from [Sinseondae], where you can view [Dinosaur Ridge], you have to leave at 3 am and reach the top in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
(It usually takes about 4 hours for an average hiker.)
Instead of sunrise, you can watch the sunset without going up that early.
However, you have to hike down the dark mountain for a long time right after sunset.
That makes it hard to go to work the next day.
On top of that, the summer humidity and heat would have been tough.
But back then, I pushed myself to see both [sunrise] and [sunset].
