Hello. I am the guy who always complains that Starbucks food is not tasty.

The Lunar New Year holiday is finally over. I hope everyone will go back to their daily lives starting tomorrow and do their best. I went to Starbucks today as well.

When I think of black sesame, I think of something that adults eat. It feels like red bean ice cream that my dad buys me and never buys with my own money. But today, I felt like eating it for some reason, so I tried it.

Here is the official menu description.

It is a soft roll cake with a generous amount of [Black Sesame] cream sandwiched between rich [Black Sesame] sheets made with domestic [Black Sesame].

Pros

I think this is probably the only oriental dessert you can find at Starbucks. I think it's hard to find a dessert with the richness of grains as a base. To be exact, it seems like there aren't many oriental desserts in most cafes. The harmony of bread and cream itself is not bad.

Cons

The type of bread itself has a texture that quickly becomes dry when exposed to air. It's so bad that you'll wonder if roll cakes were originally like this... The texture deteriorates quickly. It's okay if you console yourself that it's only the outside. The price is 7,500 won. It seems that it's much better value for money to just buy something else for 7,500 won at a local bakery.
