samgyeopsal [Jeyuk-bokkeum]


I was wondering what to cook, so I decided to use the leftover [samgyeopsal] I had. Even though it is frozen meat, it can be quite delicious if cooked properly.

Ingredients (approx. 10 servings)

Onion, green onion, pork belly, ginger, garlic

For the seasoning sauce, you can use a recipe that everyone is familiar with. (I used gochujang, sugar, red chili powder, MSG, minced garlic, a little Yondu, and pepper.)

Then, I thawed the pork belly in lukewarm water with dissolved sugar.

Food like [Jeyukbokkeum] in the style of a knight's restaurant was created.





Thanks to the rich fat of the pork belly, it had a deeper, more savory flavor compared to pork neck or shoulder cuts. I also cut the onions and green onions into large pieces to enhance the texture, and the skin attached to the meat added a nice variety of textures.
