With its multiple generations, agencies, labels and unique synergies, the K-pop industry can seem like a nebula of uncertainty to those who are new to it. To help you understand it more clearly, [Vogue France] has selected 12 groups to watch in 2025, based on the opinions of [Deezer France]'s K-pop editor [**Rudy Jean-Baptiste**]. This will not only give you the chance to discover new groups, but also provide you with news of anticipated comebacks from some groups that have already achieved huge success.

The female group [NewJeans]made their debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with their 2023 release, “SuperShy.” This was a defining moment for many artists, establishing them as a new K-pop sensation.

A breath of fresh air for the industry, the five-member group—[Hanni], [Haerin],[Hyein], [Minji], and [Danielle]—have shown an ability to both understand the K-pop formula and break away from it. This originality is especially evident on their second EP, “Get Up,” released in July 2023.

“They're not exactly rookies who just debuted, they've already established themselves in the genre,” explains [Rudy Jean-Baptiste]. “But they’ve completely re-invented themselves after their contracts with their previous labels [HYBE and ADOR] were terminated, so they deserve to be on this list.”

The group will continue their career under the new name [NJZ] and headline [ComplexCon Hong Kong] in March, where they'll likely unveil new music and mark the beginning of a new, independent era.
