Forbes Praises BIGBANG as “K-Pop Emperors” for Dominating Coachella

The group Big Bang (G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung) received intense attention from prominent foreign media ahead of their 20th anniversary world tour.
The US media outlet Billboard reported on Big Bang, who performed at the world's largest music festival, the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' (hereinafter 'Coachella'), held in Indio, California, on April 19 (local time) following their appearance on April 12, stating, "Big Bang's popularity and influence in the K-pop world remain strong."
Going forward, Billboard praised the group by presenting a setlist filled with Big Bang's mega-hit songs and stages spanning units and solos, stating that they "led fans back to an era that could be called the golden age of K-pop."
The American business magazine Forbes described Big Bang as the "Emperor of K-Pop." It added, "For Big Bang, who laid the foundation for the global K-pop industry and exerted a profound influence on the musical styles, fashion, and aspirations of almost every group that has emerged since, 'Coachella' is the perfect stage to kick off the festival."
The American media outlet The Los Angeles Times also gave a favorable review, stating, "Big Bang, one of the most influential groups in K-pop, presented a performance celebrating their 20th anniversary."
The LA Times conveyed the atmosphere at the venue, noting that they "drew the audience with sensual and exciting party music."
At their second performance at Coachella, Big Bang declared, "We hope our journey continues," announcing that they would kick off a large-scale world tour in August, the year the group debuted. This tour is expected to mark a new turning point for Big Bang as they celebrate their 20th anniversary this year. Big Bang's agency, YG Entertainment, is accompanying them on this tour.
