Jimin's Solo Album Achieves First No. 1 Just Months After Release

Most albums that hit number one on the Billboard charts these days do so immediately after they are released. Interest in full albums and EPs almost always peaks the week of release. By that point, the musicians and their teams have worked hard to promote the project, and the public awareness is usually hard to beat.

Jimin bucks that trend in the U.S. this week, with the BTS singer's second solo album topping the charts once more, finally reaching the top spot months after its release.

Jimin's second project as a solo artist, Muse, has climbed one spot to No. 1 on the World Albums chart. The title previously sat at No. 2 on Billboard's list of the most-consumed "world" collections in the United States, but has now secured the top spot.

Jimin has now topped the World Albums chart twice. Despite only having two solo albums, all of his albums, excluding his work with BTS, have reached the top spot, so the singer’s record is once again perfect.

He first topped the World Albums chart less than a year later. His debut solo album, Face, spent five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's tally and has been on the roster for more than a year.

Jimin displaces another Korean hit at No. 1 on the World Albums chart this week. Last frame, boy band P*Har*mony debuted at No. 1 on the list with their latest studio effort, Sad Song. Now, that EP has dropped to No. 5.

Both Muse and Face reached number two on the Billboard 200.

As Muse climbs the World Albums chart, its latest single also finds its footing. "Who" rises on both the Hot 100 (up from No. 30 to No. 26) and Streaming Songs (up from No. 25 to No. 20). It remains steady on Pop Airplay, peaking at No. 26.
