Park in the small park parking lot (parking fee 5,000 won), pay the entrance fee (3,500 won), and walk down the flat road for about an hour to reach Biseondae, the entrance to the hiking trail. From there, head towards Cheonbuldong Valley and continue for about 2 hours until you reach Yangpok Mountain Lodge. After that, if you continue for another hour, you will enter Meoumi Pass. If you go 20 minutes further to the right from Meeolmi Pass, you will arrive at Sinseonbong Peak. In fact, the road after that is the infamous Dinosaur Ridge, but many mountain photographers stop at Sinseonbong Peak and take sunset photos.
The conditions of the sea of clouds at Dinosaur Ridge are as follows.
1. Humidity around 90%
2. The east wind will blow
3. If it rains the day before, it’s the icing on the cake.
When the nearby Huiungak Lodge opens, it will be convenient to visit for 2 days and 1 night, but it is currently under renovation. I just went on a day trip.
One-line summary: If you want to capture the best view of the national park at a cost-effective price, go to Sinseonbong Peak.
