Last fall, I suffered a stress fracture in my left hip joint and couldn't hike for almost a year.
I finally got a diagnosis from the hospital that I was okay, so I did a quick warm-up while doing Yongmasan last week and then went straight to Seoraksan.
I've never done the Dinosaur Ridge before and I've never been to the end of Dinosaur Ridge like Shinsendae or Madengryeong, so I thought it might be too physically taxing,
but it was better than I thought, and although there were no clouds or anything like that, the light was quite something to see.
The fall foliage was also beautifully colored.
It wasn't the dry, unsightly fall foliage that I was worried about...
They say that no mountain in Korea shows the beauty of the rock ridge as much as Dinosaur Ridge, and I really admired it all the way to sunset and kept mumbling about not wanting to go down before I finally came down.
As expected, the descent from a mountain is harder, and my lower body was quite worn out on the way down, but it was still a satisfying shoot after a long time.
The photos were taken with the NX500 and S1.
