It is said that Sinheung Market was formed by the residents of Haebangchon. Contrary to the image of the market we know, the current Haebangchon has emerged as a new hot place in Seoul, and hip stores targeting the younger generation have begun to open.
A map of emerging markets. You can see that it is not built in the form of a line, but is located inside a block.
You can see something slightly different from the market modernization projects commonly seen around you.
Personally, I liked the design. Maybe it's because it's a little unusual, but...
I think this design is possible because it is a unique shape in emerging markets.
Building owners are virtually unable to expand or build new buildings, right?
A view outside the market. Red brick houses are often perceived as old and dirty and need to be replaced, but in Haebangchon, the old buildings and dirty telephone poles seem to have created a unique hip atmosphere. I don't think it's always good just because it's new. Rather, I think that old buildings can be reused to create attractive spaces.

There is also a redevelopment movement in Haebangchon and Huam-dong. This time, they have been making a fuss to ask for more restrictions on the foot of Namsan Mountain regarding height relaxation... The city of Seoul is still showing a stubborn attitude, but I don't know if it can be maintained. Is it redevelopment or gentrification? The more I look into this field, the more trouble I have.
This was taken on the way home.. It’s an officetel in Sindang-dong, and I like this type of building. Like these days In a situation where a lot of factory-style officetels are being built in a straight rectangular shape, I think that's an average rating haha.
