I just added Seoul too.
1. Seoul Special City
Gwanghwamun Square
As the representative square of Korea, it can be said to be a place for festivals, landmarks, street cheering, rallies and protests.
The statue of King Sejong and Yi Sun-sin are located there, and Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are located nearby, making it a famous starting point for city tours in Seoul.
Close to Gwanghwamun Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 and Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3.
2. Busan Metropolitan City
Song Sanghyeon Square
This square was renamed from Busan Central Square to Song Sang-hyeon Square.
There is a statue of Song Sang-hyeon, a civil servant from the Joseon Dynasty, and it is a hotspot in Busan where various busking and event performances are held.
Silgaecheon Stream, a waterside space great for walking, and a floor fountain are located.
Close to Bujeon Station on Busan Subway Line 1
3. Incheon Metropolitan City
Incheon Aeteul
This is a plaza located in front of Incheon City Hall that was created by expanding what used to be Mirae Plaza.
There is a pond, a musical fountain, and a lawn, and it is a place where busking performances, flea markets, etc. are held.
Close to Incheon City Hall Station, a transfer station for Incheon Line 1 and Incheon Line 2.
Aside from the topic, there is also something called UN Square.
It is a square located in Songdo Central Park in Songdo New Town.
Close to Central Park Station on Incheon Line 1
4. Daegu Metropolitan City
Dongdaegu Station Square
Daegu's representative plaza was reborn through a public design improvement project in October 2022.
There is a media wall and a music fountain, and outdoor exhibitions are often held, making it one of the places responsible for cultural life in Daegu.
Close to Dongdaegu Station on Daegu Line 1
5. Gwangju Metropolitan City
5.18 Democracy Square
As the name suggests, it was the center of protests during the May 18 Democratization Movement.
Currently, it has developed into a plaza with a large floating population, sandwiched between the National Asia Culture Center, a large-scale cultural complex, and Chungjang-ro, a busy street.
It is a place where various busking, meetings, and festivals take place.
Close to Culture Center Station on Gwangju Subway Line 1
6. Daejeon Metropolitan City

Daejeon Expo Citizen Square
It is a plaza located within the Hanbat Arboretum, which is quite large in size considering it is located in the city center.
It can be seen as a resort-like plaza that soothes the boring city life of Daejeon citizens with green space.
The outdoor performance hall is equipped with Korea's first moving shade, and the Expo Bridge lights up at sunset, creating a nice night view.
Busking and performances take place frequently, and an outdoor skating rink opens in the winter, making it a good square for leisure sports.
It is a 25-minute walk from Government Complex Station on Daejeon Line 1.
7. Ulsan Metropolitan City
place of meeting
This is a square located within Taehwagang National Garden, a representative tourist attraction in Ulsan.
The Taehwagang National Garden Spring Flower Festival is held every May, and gardens designed by world-famous designers have been created.
It is an hour and a half walk from Taehwagang Station on the Donghae Line.
