Second tour of the southwestern region. Last time, I went to Omokgyo Bridge. It was closer to the center of Seoul than Guro, and there was a luxury neighborhood called Mok-dong, so the colors were nice. The Guro area I visited this time had a strong feeling of being underdeveloped, perhaps because it was in the outskirts.
Guil, which is toward Yangcheon-gu, still has Gocheok Dome and is okay, but the outer areas closer to Gyeonggi-do (Gasan, Doksan) have a lot of Chinese people.
Guro borders Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Anyangcheon Stream, the stem of the Han River, seems to be the most famous attraction in this neighborhood.
The starting point is Gasan Digital Complex Station. I'm not sure why it's digital. There are a lot of high-rise office buildings, but I think they are not famous IT companies, but companies based in parts manufacturing and distribution.
The picture above is Manseung Outlet An old shopping mall called . It is said to be an industrial complex building built in 1968 during the Park Chung-hee regime.
The building is so old that its useful life as a shopping center has already ended.
I think so.
There are many unique outlet malls around here. It doesn't seem to be a neighborhood with particularly strong purchasing power, but large outlets are operating at a complex level.
Mall security office. The wooden window frame that looks like it will break if you hit it shows the age.
Awkward form of residential-commercial complex???
Let’s walk a little bit and go to a traditional market. There are many Korean-Chinese people and Chinese food ingredients are sold.
Doksan Natural Park A walking trail called . A small hillside adjacent to the school site called Jeongsim Elementary School. You can walk around for about an hour if you walk everywhere. There appears to be a trail course that connects to other green spaces.
There are restrooms and it's good for exercise, but seeing that illegal dumping is rampant here, I guess it's a place with poor civic consciousness.
Take the bus and go to Guil Station...
Guil Station is located along Anyang Stream. Anyangcheon Railroad Bridge (Line 1 Guil Station) is unique. Also, the pedestrian bridge that crosses Anyangcheon, the water gate, and the access road to Gocheok Dome are complex, so it is easy to get lost on your first visit.
behind the floodgates Gocheok Dome It looks like this. It's a baseball stadium.
