Seoul TG, located in real Seoul from 1968 to 1987
Currently, Seoul TG, despite its name, is located in Bundang, Seongnam, but before, it was actually located in Seoul. However, compared to the current Seoul TG, it is very small in scale because there were not many cars on the highway when this toll gate was built. In the 60s and 70s, it was impossible to own a car unless you were rich, so there were not many cars. However, in the 1980s, the supply of cars was much greater than before, and the traffic volume increased much more than before, making expansion inevitable at the location at that time, so it was moved to its current location.

This is what Seoul TG looked like in the 90s when Bundang was created. Compared to the above, the road width is enormous.
However, if you look to the right of Seoul TG now, there are many high-rise buildings. Even though Bundang was developed in the 90s, it is still full of rice fields. Jeongja-dong, which has many high-rise buildings, was built in the early 2000s, not the 90s.
This was taken in the 2000s, but the photo was taken so that the high-rise buildings are not visible;;
The difference from now is that the Seoul signboard was just ordinary.
This is what Seoul TG currently looks like
The font was changed to Seoul Namsan font, and a multi-lane high-pass system (where the road color is dark) was recently installed in the middle of the toll gate, although it was not there originally. And right next to Seoul TG, the Bundang Doosan headquarters building, which is very interesting in terms of design, was built.
