I headed to Inwangsan Mountain to see the sunrise for the first time in almost two years. As always, we start from Ant Village.
ㄴ This is a post I wrote in January last year.
One hour before sunrise, downtown Seoul is immersed in silence.
Sunrise begins at the summit of Inwangsan Mountain.
Toward Ansan. The temperature on this day dropped to -12 degrees, and on days like this, atmospheric conditions are bound to be good. Behind Ansan, you can see Gyeyangsan Mountain and Manisan Mountain.
Achasan direction. In the back, Yebongsan Mountain and Yongmunsan Mountain.
Gyeongbokgung Palace with sunlight starting to shine.
The city of Seoul is gradually getting brighter.
Towards Beombawi and Gokjang.
Chimabawi Rock seen from Beombawi Rock. This is the site of the stone carving from the Japanese colonial era that I posted last time.
When I came down, I visited Seonbawi Rock and Guksadang.
There are several local religious temples located near Guksadang. If you climb the stairs leading to these temples, you will find Guksadang.
If you go up the stairs again from Guksadang, you will find Seonbawi Rock.
Seonbawi generally refers to a standing stone, but Seonbawi on Inwangsan Mountain is named after a form of meditation wearing a jangsam, or meditation.
It has a very bizarre appearance, and like Mokpo Gatbawi Rock, it is a unique rock with developed taponi.
Seoul city seen from Seonbawi. Electric wire.....
One main gate of Inwangsa Temple. I think it is the most sloped neighborhood in downtown Seoul after Changsin-dong.
After coming down, finish with a meal at Yeongcheon Market.
