1) I took the subway, but since it was [Haebangchon], the way there was difficult.
2) The tableware here is really pretty.
3) Appetizer
It seems they changed the shrimp tart from being served in a vase to this; the combination of the chopped apple under the shrimp puree and the trout roe on top was good.
4) Mulhoe
[Uni] wrapped in [cuttlefish] and drizzled with tomato sauce. “Alla Prima”
5) It didn't look like [Mulhoe], but it tasted like [Mulhoe], so I liked it.
6) [Gimjeonbok]
The sauce made with mascarpone cheese and seaweed is the main ingredient; it's delicious. The salt-like substance on the side is apparently made from abalone innards. It's good to dip the mascarpone in that and eat it, and the white wood ear mushrooms add a nice acidity to finish the dish.
7) 7 Kinds of Mushrooms
My companions added truffle, while I ordered the standard version.
They said they infused shiitake mushroom oil into the steamed eggs, and the dish itself had a rich, creamy flavor that I had never tasted before. The harmony with the mushrooms was insane.
8) Potato Pancake
They say it's fried in lard, and since the sauce tastes like a modified mustard, it's impossible for it not to be delicious.
The top photo is the standard version, and the bottom photo shows the special delicacy; if you add 50,000 won, they top it with caviar and tuiles like that (including truffle on the steamed egg).
The standard version has a flavor that pairs well with the vegetables, and the caviar also complements the taste well, offering a different kind of enjoyment.
9) If you add [Specialty Dish], they give you [Jeungpyeon] and butter to spread on it.
10) It's an open kitchen, so you can see everything being made.
11) [Lamb Tteokgalbi], [Hanwoo Bansang]
I ordered the standard Lamb Tteokgalbi, while my companions switched to the Hanwoo (+3) option. The plating of the dishes here is beyond words.
The Lamb Tteokgalbi is made using ribs and intercostal meat, topped with shiitake mushrooms like a shell. It is served with sweet pumpkin puree and red wine sauce. The zucchini sauce served as a garnish was delicious.
The Hanwoo Bansang consists of [Ssam vegetables], [tomato ssamjang], [Bideum namul], [Korean beef salchi-sal], Tteokgalbi made with [deodeok] and spinach, and [sotbap] made with [fermented hairtail innards (galchi-sokjeot)].
It was delicious. If you come with your parents, I think they would love this.
12) Dessert Noodles
A noodle dish based on Naju Gomtang broth, served with fresh cappellini pasta. Slices of beef shank are placed on top, while beef brisket is hidden underneath. The broth is outstanding, and the meat and noodles are cooked perfectly. Delicious.
13) Cleanser Yuzu Sorbet. The white stuff is meringue.
14) Truffle Bingsu
It was really delicious.
15) [Yanggaeng] with wild strawberries inside, [Meringue] with apple grapes on top
The center isn't meant to be eaten.
I went without high expectations, but the food was delicious and the service was great; they chatted with me occasionally, which made for a pleasant experience.
I mentioned I had seen [Culinary Class Wars], so when we were having the dessert noodles, they gave my companions black and white chopsticks and matched my chopsticks to the color of the wallet on the table, which was very touching.
The location is a bit of a shame, but I want to go back for dinner.
